Day 1: Arrive JKIA, Nairobi/ Kenya.

On arrival at the Jomo Kenyatta International Airport Nairobi, African Grand Expeditions representative will meet/ welcome you and transfer to your city hotel booked on bed and breakfast basis.

NOTE: Depending on time of arrival, have short-tour in and around Nairobi e.g. Karen Blixen Museum author of ‘’Out of Africa’’ movie; Giraffe centre sanctuary to hand-feed the gentle endangered Rothschild giraffes. And then later proceed to Daphne Sheldrick animal Orphanage, and learn how orphaned baby elephants and rhinos are bottle-fed and re-introduced to the wild

 
Day 2: Nairobi - Maasai Mara Game Reserve - Hemmingway Trail

After breakfast at your hotel, we pick-you-up at 07:30-am and driven to Masai Mara via the Great Rift Valley where you’ll stop for panoramic and breathtaking-views. Descend the escarpment and drive through the Hemingway-trails to arrive at Narok-town for lunch. After lunch, proceed to Masai Mara arrive for late afternoon/early evening game drive in the park until sunset.

Spend two nights here to explore, discover and experience the magic of Masai Mara, a spectacular watch for many millennia that has put Masai Mara the world’s 7th wonder! , Dinner & overnight in a self-contained tented-camp with hot shower. Meal Plan: Breakfast, Lunch, & dinner.

 
Day 3: Maasai Mara Full day- Explore the Magic of Masai Mara

After breakfast 07:30-am, we leave for a full day of game viewing-drive into the expansive The famous Masai Mara Game Reserve which is a wildlife paradise! Virtually every type of animal is to be found here……Spotted; speckled and dotted are the meanings of “Mara”. This is the descriptive name given by the Maasai people for this beautiful land of trees, shrub, savannah grassland and shadows made by clouds that hover over the plains.

Drive to the Mara River where you’ll enjoy your lunches under the bushes picnic-site by the river-side as you watch hippos and crocodiles. Across the river thousands of Wildebeest migration takes place- a great spectacle to behold- the ‘’Big Five’’ animals from Serengeti park/ Tanzania crossing into Masai Mara/ Kenya. After lunch, have an afternoon game drive until sunset, then driven back to your camp/lodge for a deserved hot shower and a buffet, sumptuous dinner...!

 
Day 4: Maasai Mara- Lake Nakuru National Park/Fabulous Flamingo Trail

Pre-breakfast game drive from 06:30-am to 09:30-am, to see leopards, cheaters, lioness hunting. This has been considered the best time to see the cuts-animal making a kill as the sun-rises on the horizon. Back to your camp for a full breakfast, then visit the Maasai village [manyatta] and later depart for Lake Nakuru National Park, lunch served on the way arriving at Lake Nakuru hotel in the evening for dinner and overnight-stay.

The Great Rift Valley was formed millions of years ago. Stretching some 6,500 kilometre from Jordan/ Northern-Africa to Mozambique/ South Africa. It’s the largest Rift on Earth. In Kenya, the rift gave rise to many lakes that have become a habitat for diverse wildlife. One such lake is Lake Nakuru- alkaline lake. Famously Lake Nakuru attracts seasonal vast numbers of fabulously colored pink flamingos to its shallow waters, Hippos, various animals, white and black rhinos, giraffes; tree climbing lions, leopards and a profusion of birds are also present at the lake. Day 5: Lake Nakuru – Lake Naivasha/Hells Gate

Lake Nakuru National Park is known for its migratory millions of flamingoes and other water birds species. The only park in Kenya where you will be able to see the black and white rhinos, many buffaloes and tree climbing lions.

After an early breakfast, proceed for morning game drive in the park to see lion, buffalo, hyena, water buck and the antelope. Later on, proceed to Lake Oloiden to see other birds’ species including flamingoes. Visit Hells Gate Park and have a swim in the natural spar swimming-pool (Note: remember to bring your swimming costumes). Dinner and overnight stay in camp/lodge.

 
Day 6: Lake Naivasha - Amboseli National park

After breakfast, visit the local fishermen at the beach, and try your fishing-skills in a canoe, depart for Amboseli national park which is set in the Shadow of Mt. Kilimanjaro "Africa’s highest mountain. Evening game drive dinner and overnight in the camp/lodge.

 
Day 7: Amboseli Park Full - Day

After breakfast, go for morning and afternoon game drive. Amboseli National park is one of the most popular wildlife sanctuaries in Kenya. It is situated close to Kenya- Tanzania border, The Park lies at the foot of Mt. Kilimanjaro, the highest mountain in Africa (5,896m) whose snow-capped summit presents a splendid view on clear days. Amboseli Park is often referred to as “The home of Elephants’ some of the largest Elephant herds are found here. The park also contains vast groups of zebras, wildebeests, giraffes, buffalos, hippos and antelopes. Also to be found in Amboseli are lions, leopards, cheetahs, rhinos and many species of plain game. Dinner and overnight at Amboseli lodge/ camp.

 
Day 8: Amboseli – Arusha town/ Tanzania

Morning breakfast at the lodge/camp, then depart with an en-route game-drive for Namanga border of Kenya/ Tanzania for immigration formalities. Proceed to Arusha-town arriving in good time at your hotel for dinner and overnight-stay, [Meal plan: breakfast & Lunch]

 
Day 9: Arusha/hotel - Lake Manyara

After breakfast, driven in a Toyota Land Cruiser 4x4-WD and proceed to Lake Manyara Park park located beneath the cliffs of the Manyara Escarpment, on the edge of the Rift Valley. Lake Manyara National Park offers varied ecosystems, incredible bird life, and breathtaking views.

Arrive in good time for lunch at Lake Manyara lodge/camp. Enjoy your afternoon and early evening game drive with your private guide in a safari jeep. Full board accommodation is included in the tour price. Dinner and overnight at Lake Manyara camp/lodge.

 
Day 10: Lake Manyara – Ngorongoro Crater

After breakfast, your safari continues to Ngorongoro Conservation Area and descends into the crater for a wonderful game drive (with a picnic lunch) inside Ngorongoro Crater often described as one of the wonders of the world. It is the world’s largest intact volcanic caldera and a natural sanctuary for some of Africa’s densest animal populations. It is one of the few places where the rare black rhino can be observed in their natural setting. As very few animals migrate in and out of the crater with its 2000 ft. high walls, you can expect to see lions, elephants, zebras, hippos, flamingos, jackals, rhinos, antelopes, many birds and other species. With a bit of luck the ‘Big Five’ can be spotted during one game drive only. Dinner and overnight in a lodge/camp. All the meals included.

 
Day 11: Ngorongoro Crater - Serengeti National Park

After breakfast, proceed to Serengeti National Park. After stopping for your picnic lunch on a kopje (rock outcropping) in Serengeti you will continue further into the Serengeti park and go on a game drive. Dinner and overnight at Seronera camp. All the meals included.

 
Day 12: Serengeti Park Full day

Early morning safari to see nocturnal predators returning from hunting and animals waking up in early morning light. Full day of game drives around Serengeti. Depending on the time of year and the migration of the herds you can expect to see wildebeest, lions, elephants, giraffes, zebras, monkeys, baboons, hippos, rhinos, antelopes and many birds’ species. As in Ngorongoro crater, your driver/guide will be in contact with other safari drivers and will amaze you with his skill at locating the hidden animals. Dinner and overnight Seronera lodge/camp. All the meals included.

 
Day 13: Serengeti Park – Airport/Zanzibar

After breakfast, en-route game drives to Arusha-town/or to Seronera airstrip to connect your flight to Zanzibar beach hotel. Transfer to the beach Hotel in Zanzibar (upgradeable to 2-3 Star Hotel). All meals included.

 
Days 14-16: Zanzibar at Leisure

Zanzibar is one of East Africa’s oldest towns with early oceanic trade and political history. Old town buildings still stand to date to remind you of the rich cultural history of this famous Island.

Relax and enjoy the endless beaches of Zanzibar whilst staying in your beach side hotel. Take a tour to clove plantations with local guide who will tell you more about the people of Zanzibar.

There are a wide range of water sport activities you can participate in, such as snorkeling, scuba diving, boat trips and many more. Breakfast and Dinner are included.

 
Day 17: Depart Zanzibar
