Samburu Game Lodge is a modest 61-room value accommodation for your economical tour of Samburu National Reserve. The lodge is located within ten acres of forest along the Ewaso Nyiro River, so you have fine views of fish-eating birds skimming the surface and elephants bathing, all from the seclusion of your distinct patio or balcony. Each room features en-suite bathroom, some of which have a bathtub, as well as personal safe, writing desk, chairs, wall fan and more. In the evenings, staff places mosquito netting around your bed as part of the turn-down lodge service. Several family rooms are available, as well as themed rooms that are known to treat children to an especially delightful holiday in East Africa. Samburu Lodge also has one room that is designed to fit the needs of an AfricanMecca guest with limited mobility. From your room, you may observe many animals at the river that are also spotted by your guide during your photographic safari in magical Kenya, such as baboons, giraffes, monkeys, elephants, buffalos and other grazers and foragers, as well as ferocious crocodiles and other predators. For your security, staff escorts you at night between common areas and your room. Due to the remote location of Samburu Game Lodge, electricity is available at certain times, and the schedule is relatively convenient for most guests.

Located in the Aberdare National Park, the Treetops Lodge Nyeri tree-house lodge on stilts is famous as the place where Queen Elizabeth II visited as a princess and left as queen.
Originally built in 1932, Treetops Lodge lies in the path of an ancient Elephant migratory route between the Aberdare Ranges and Mt Kenya National park, and is strategically sited right in front of a natural watering hole and salt lick, making it the perfect place to view game.
Treetops is as much a part of nature as it has an ancient tree growing right through the hotel, with the lodge being built around it. It is the perfect fusion of nature and comfort sporting a rustic look that fits right into the Aberdares.

Have breakfast at Treetops before driving via Thomson's Falls – a scenic waterfall on the Uaso Nyiro River – to Lake Nakuru National Park for lunch and a game drive. The park is a haven for bird lovers, with over 400 species of bird, including flamingos (although recent water levels have seen the masses of migratory flamingos that once resided at the lake reduce considerably, so it’s best to check with the park if this is your primary reason for visiting), and also provides habitat for lion, leopard and Rothschild giraffe. It also offers fantastic chances of spotting herds of white rhino. Continue on to Lake Naivasha for the night and the Sopa Lodge, which has resident monkeys, giraffes and hippo inhabiting its 150-acre grasslands! Stay: Lake Naivasha Sopa Lodge. B, L, D.

Set in one hundred and fifty acres of grassland studded with Acacia bushes and trees, the resort is not only home to our resident giraffe, waterbuck and both Vervet and Colobus monkeys, but it is also a night stop for the hippos when they leave the lake every night to come and trim the grass on our expansive lawns.
With Sopa’s traditional and conscientious care for the environment, we carefully positioned all the buildings on our property so we did not have to fell any of the many trees there. As a result of this, we had to come up with a radically innovative and artistic design for the main public area building which now snakes its way between the trees with long and graceful curves.
It is also why you might well ask just why our two swimming pools with a children’s section and a pool complex with its bar, snack kitchen, pizzeria and health spa; our tennis court; our two conference halls with their four differently sized meeting areas, and our stables are so widely set apart.
