Experience early morning and afternoon game drives in Amboseli National Park, where, with its low vegetation, it is renowned as one of the best wildlife viewing areas in Africa. Look out for lion, buffalo, zebra and a diverse range of birdlife. The park's dry and dusty form is due to the volcanic ash that came from Mt. Kilimanjaro on its last eruption, yet the lush green areas are a result of a continuous water supply from the mountain's melting snow. Dinner and overnight at Sentrim tented camp/ or Kibo Camp. Sailing like an ark amid the primeval forests of Kenya's highest mountain, Mount Kenya, this lodge-hotel offers champagne-clear mountain air, sweeping views across the tree-canopy, sparkling trout streams, and gentle forest walks. Located at 2,134 metres above sea level, on the lower slopes of the mountain, our Mount Kenya lodge is cool, tranquil and hushed for optimum game-sightings. The open-air viewing-deck looks down on to its own water hole and salt-lick, which attracts numerous herds of elephant and buffalo. There is also a tunnel leading to a photo-hide, which offers spectacular viewing and photographic opportunities just metres away from the wildlife at the water hole.
Raised on stilts above the forest canopy, a timbered drawbridge leads from the Mount Kenya forest and up on to the wooden ‘decks' of our hotel. Inside, the impression of having boarded a ship is perpetuated by a combination of log panelled walls, timbered game-viewing decks and winding stairs leading to a selection of snugly comfortable, cabin-styled rooms. Activities include guided walks through the forest, trout fishing in the clear mountain streams, trips to the high moorlands of the mountain, and 5-day luxury climbs of the mountain

Enjoy an early morning breakfast, drive north to Samburu National Reserve where you will spend the next two nights at Wilderness Lodge situated on the banks of the Ewaso Ngiro River. Experience the African desert at its best and as a lesser known park it is less crowded, with game drives on both days giving you the opportunity to spot leopard, lion and cheetah. This is the dry, north of Kenya and the reserve attracts wildlife not often seen elsewhere, so be on the lookout for gerenuks – a unique gazelle with a long neck that stands on its hind legs. Dinner and overnight at Samburu Game Lodge/ or similar. Meal plan: Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner.
The whole day will be spent relaxing and leisurely exploring the Samburu National Reserve through morning and afternoon game drives. You may opt to do some of the activities offered at the lodges and a visit to Samburu Villages at an extra cost.
The light and vast openness creates a lonesome panoramic beauty and the permanent water supply acts like a lure for the abundant species found here. The region is home to the uncommon Grevy's zebra with huge fury ears, gerenuk antelope standing on hind legs to feed, Somali ostriches with distinct blue legs and the shy Oryx. Elephant and crocodile are guaranteed sightings, excellent bird watching with numerous varieties of weaverbirds and the martial eagle. Leopard sighting is also a special feature here. Dinner and overnight at Samburu Game Lodge/ or similar.

Each room features en-suite bathroom, some of which have a bathtub, as well as personal safe, writing desk, chairs, wall fan and more. In the evenings, staff places mosquito netting around your bed as part of the turn-down lodge service. Several family rooms are available, as well as themed rooms that are known to treat children to an especially delightful holiday in East Africa. Samburu Lodge also has one room that is designed to fit the needs of an AfricanMecca guest with limited mobility. From your room, you may observe many animals at the river that are also spotted by your guide during your photographic safari in magical Kenya, such as baboons, giraffes, monkeys, elephants, buffalos and other grazers and foragers, as well as ferocious crocodiles and other predators. It’s location in a private conservancy with a higher wildlife-to-area ratio than any of Kenya's national parks makes Sweetwaters Serena Camp one of the most exclusive tented safari camps in Kenya.
A sheltered oasis, clustered around a water hole and set in the pristine calm of the private Ol Pejeta Conservancy, Sweetwaters Serena Camp offers a charming blend of under-canvas ambiance and Kenyan safari luxury.
Located on the plains of Mount Kenya, the camp features thirty-nine luxury tents, each with its own private veranda overlooking the water hole. The central Rhino Restaurant is housed in the former manager's house of this once colonial farm, and offers both regional and international cuisine. Also within the house is the Kashoggi Bar and lounge, which centres on a blazing log fire. The Waterhole Bar, built in the style of a game-viewing hide, overlooks the waterhole and offers unrivalled wildlife-watching.
Host to all the members of the ‘Big Five' (elephant, rhino, lion, buffalo and leopard), the conservancy has a higher wildlife-to-area ratio than any Kenyan national park and is one of only four private game conservancies to have been founded in Kenya. At the forefront of the Kenyan conservancy programme, the conservancy boasts the largest black rhino sanctuary in East Africa, hosts the only chimpanzee sanctuary in Kenya, and shelters large numbers of rare and endangered species.

Located high on the slopes of the Oloolaimutia Hills, Masai Mara Sopa Lodge was one of the first safari lodges to be built in the Maasai Mara Game Reserve, a reason why its gardens and trees are so lush and mature. All the buildings follow the design of traditional African round houses with conical roofs, and these stretch along the line of the hills with the impressively large public area buildings and the swimming pool at their centre.
The lodge has fifty guest cottages divided into two wings to either side of the main public areas. Each of these house two spacious guest rooms with queen and king size beds; mosquito nets; electronic safes; dressing tables; en-suite bathrooms and sheltered verandas that all have views over the gardens and the game reserve beyond.
